What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Buildingstars Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no specific information provided in the excerpts regarding restrictions on the franchisee's business location in Item 12. However, Item 7 details the franchisee's obligations, stating that the franchisee must begin operations within 45 days of completing the initial training program. The franchisee is considered to have begun operations when they have completed the initial training, obtained all necessary licenses and permits, provided proof of insurance, acquired all necessary materials and supplies, and are in full compliance with the Franchise Agreement.
This means that while the FDD excerpts do not specify location-based restrictions, Buildingstars franchisees must ensure they can secure a suitable operational base and fulfill all other requirements to commence business within 45 days after training. This includes having all the necessary resources and complying with all Buildingstars' standards and legal obligations.
To fully understand any location restrictions, a prospective Buildingstars franchisee should review Item 12 of the complete FDD and ask the franchisor directly about any specific geographic limitations, zoning requirements, or other location-related criteria that might impact their ability to operate the franchise. Additionally, they should clarify how these potential restrictions might affect the timeline for opening the business after completing the initial training program.
