What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Buildingstars franchisees may be responsible for covering the travel expenses incurred by Buildingstars employees when they provide continuing advisory assistance. Buildingstars reserves the right to be compensated for any travel expenses, including transportation, lodging, meals, and other expenses, that its employees incur while providing this advisory assistance.
This means that beyond any fees Buildingstars might charge for the advisory assistance itself, a franchisee could also be billed for the costs associated with sending Buildingstars personnel to their location. This could include flights, hotel stays, meals, and other incidentals. The FDD does not specify how these expenses are calculated or billed, so it is important for a prospective franchisee to clarify these details with Buildingstars during their due diligence.
Understanding the potential costs associated with advisory assistance is crucial for budgeting and financial planning. A franchisee should inquire about the circumstances under which advisory assistance is typically provided, how often it is needed, and what the average travel expenses have been for other franchisees in similar situations. This will help them to better anticipate and manage these potential costs.
