What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering all costs associated with attending refresher training programs. This includes transportation, lodging, meals, and any other expenses incurred by the franchisee and their employees. Buildingstars may also charge a reasonable fee for the refresher training program itself. This means that franchisees need to factor in these potential costs when budgeting for ongoing training and development. These costs can vary depending on the location and duration of the training.

This is a fairly standard practice in the franchise industry, where franchisees typically bear the costs of their ongoing training. While Buildingstars provides the training, the franchisee is responsible for ensuring they and their employees can attend. This policy ensures that franchisees are invested in the additional training and that Buildingstars can focus on delivering the training content.

Prospective Buildingstars franchisees should inquire about the frequency and location of refresher training programs to estimate the potential costs involved. Understanding these costs upfront will help in making an informed decision about investing in a Buildingstars franchise. It would also be prudent to ask about the content and benefits of these refresher programs to assess their value in relation to the expenses.
