Is Buildingstars obligated to provide Refresher Training Programs to previously trained franchisees or their employees?

We, although not obligated to do so, may from time to time require that previously trained and experienced franchisees or their employees attend and successfully complete Refresher Training Programs or seminars to be conducted at our principal office or such other locations that we shall designate. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for the Refresher Training Programs or any such additional training. You must pay the travel and living expenses and wages for yourself and your employees.

According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Buildingstars is not obligated to provide refresher training programs. However, Buildingstars may, from time to time, require previously trained and experienced franchisees or their employees to attend and successfully complete Refresher Training Programs or seminars. These programs would be conducted at Buildingstars' principal office or other designated locations.
Buildingstars reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for these Refresher Training Programs or any additional training. The franchisee is responsible for covering the travel and living expenses, as well as the wages, for themselves and their employees during the training.
This policy means that while Buildingstars franchisees are not guaranteed ongoing training, they may be required to participate in refresher courses at their own expense. This is a fairly common practice in franchising, where franchisors often provide initial training but may charge for additional or ongoing training to ensure brand standards and operational efficiency are maintained.
