What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any notice required under the terms of the Franchise Agreement must be provided in writing. The notice must be sent either by registered or certified mail, or through personal delivery. The notice should be addressed to the franchisee's address or to Buildingstars' office, or to any other address that has been formally designated according to the agreement.
For a Buildingstars franchisee, this means that any official communication, whether it's from the franchisee to Buildingstars or vice versa, must adhere to these formal notification methods to be considered valid. This could include notices related to contract renewal, termination, or any other significant matter pertaining to the franchise agreement.
The FDD specifies that receipt of notice is considered to have occurred one day after mailing, or immediately upon personal delivery, whichever happens first. This is an important detail, as it establishes a clear timeline for when a notice is officially received, which can impact deadlines and response times for both Buildingstars and the franchisee. Franchisees should maintain records of all notices sent and received, including dates and methods of delivery, to ensure compliance with the agreement and to protect their rights.
This requirement for written notice delivered via registered/certified mail or personal delivery is fairly standard in franchise agreements. It ensures a verifiable record of communication, which can be crucial in resolving disputes or demonstrating compliance with contractual obligations. Buildingstars franchisees should familiarize themselves with all notice requirements outlined in the Franchise Agreement to avoid any misunderstandings or potential breaches of contract.
