What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Buildingstars will provide franchisees with a Monthly Revenue Statement once a month. Buildingstars handles billing, payment collection, and revenue record maintenance on behalf of the franchisee. This service includes sending invoices, envelopes, and postage to customers. Buildingstars also manages ongoing phone contact and sends reminder notices to customers with delinquent accounts.
This arrangement centralizes the financial administration of the franchise through Buildingstars. The franchisee authorizes Buildingstars to collect payments, deposit checks, and even place liens if necessary. Buildingstars deducts its fees, insurance payments, and any out-of-pocket costs incurred while enforcing customer payments from the collected revenues. The remaining balance is then disbursed to the franchisee according to the procedures outlined in the Confidential Operations Manual.
While Buildingstars manages the billing and collections, the franchisee remains responsible for all collection activities if a customer's payment becomes delinquent. Buildingstars's obligation is limited to sending scheduled statements, phone contact, and reminder notices. The franchisee must also pay for all reasonable attorney's fees, court costs, and expenses incurred to enforce collection from customers. This division of responsibilities means that while Buildingstars provides administrative support, the franchisee bears the ultimate responsibility for ensuring payment from customers.
