What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as the principal owner, you and one employee are entitled to attend and satisfactorily complete the initial training program. If you wish to have additional employees trained, Buildingstars will provide training for them for a reasonable fee. It is mandatory for you, or your principal owner, and your employee to attend the Initial Training Program soon after the Franchise Agreement is executed, and it must be completed before you can open your Buildingstars business.
The Initial Training Program's location will be at one of Buildingstars' corporate offices, with the specific office determined by its proximity to you. These offices are located in St. Louis County, MO, Phoenix, AZ, Tampa, FL, Atlanta, GA Chicago, IL, Overland Park, KS, East Brunswick, NJ, Charlotte, NC, Raleigh-Durham, NC, Pittsburgh, PA, Nashville, TN, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, or San Antonio, TX. The duration of the Initial Training Program varies depending on the program you choose: approximately 4 hours for the Technician Program, 13 hours for the On-Site Manager Program, and 21 hours for the Corporate Program.
If you are already a Buildingstars franchisee under one program and decide to purchase a franchise for another program, your training will be limited to the areas you have not previously covered. While Buildingstars does not charge for the initial training of two people (the principal owner and one employee), you will be responsible for covering the costs of wages, travel, and living expenses for both yourself and your employees during the training period. This is a fairly standard practice in the franchise industry, where the franchisor provides the training content, but the franchisee bears the logistical costs.
