What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must submit all advertising and sales promotion materials to Buildingstars for prior consent. Buildingstars has 20 days to respond to the advertising materials.
If Buildingstars does not respond within the specified 20-day period, the advertising is "deemed acceptable." This means a Buildingstars franchisee can proceed with the advertising as submitted if they do not hear back from the franchisor within that timeframe.
This clause provides a degree of autonomy to the franchisee, preventing Buildingstars from indefinitely delaying or blocking advertising initiatives. However, Buildingstars retains the right to object to the advertising, so it is in the franchisee's best interest to ensure the advertising aligns with Buildingstars's standards and guidelines to avoid potential conflicts.
