What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has at least seven days to review any unilateral modifications made to the franchise agreement by Buildingstars. This means that if Buildingstars decides to change any part of the agreement on its own, it must provide the franchisee with a minimum of seven days to look over these changes before they take effect or before the franchisee is required to agree to them.

This review period is designed to protect the franchisee by giving them adequate time to understand the implications of the changes. It allows the franchisee to seek legal advice, assess how the modifications might affect their business, and decide whether they are willing to accept the new terms. The franchisee should carefully consider these modifications and their potential impact on their Buildingstars franchise.

It is important to note that the FDD states the franchisee acknowledges having at least seven days to review the changes. This implies that Buildingstars could potentially provide a longer review period at its discretion, but is obligated to provide at least seven days. A prospective franchisee should confirm with Buildingstars whether they consistently provide more than the minimum review period and under what circumstances they might not.
