What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buildingstars' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally not permitted to use the Buildingstars system or marks for any products or services outside of the core cleaning business. If a Buildingstars franchisee wants to offer additional services requested by a customer, they must first get approval from Buildingstars.

Buildingstars will assess the request and generally approve it as long as the additional services don't interfere with the franchisee's core cleaning services, are not associated with the Buildingstars marks and system, and the franchisee can perform them well. Buildingstars also requires that the customer understands that these additional services are separate from the Buildingstars franchise.

Buildingstars retains the right to object to these requests in the future, even if they initially approved a similar request. This means a Buildingstars franchisee cannot assume that permission for one additional service automatically grants permission for others. Furthermore, Buildingstars franchisees must get consent from Buildingstars for all advertising and sales promotion materials, and shall not advertise or use the Buildingstars marks without consent and proper registration symbols.
