What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Buildingstars franchisees are not entitled to make a claim against Buildingstars if Buildingstars decides to modify or discontinue the use of its marks. The franchisee is obligated to comply with Buildingstars's decision at their own expense.

This means that if Buildingstars chooses to change its branding, logos, or even the name under which the franchise operates, franchisees must adapt to these changes. This includes updating signage, marketing materials, and any other branded items to reflect the new branding.

The franchisee bears the full financial responsibility for these changes, which could involve significant costs depending on the extent of the rebranding. This is a notable risk for prospective franchisees, as they must be prepared to invest further in the business to align with Buildingstars's evolving brand strategy. It is common for franchise agreements to allow franchisors to update branding, but the financial burden is not always placed solely on the franchisee.
