What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buildingstars' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wishes to advertise their Buildingstars business, they must submit all advertising and sales promotion materials, including internet advertising, to Buildingstars for prior consent. Buildingstars has 20 days to review the advertising materials. If Buildingstars does not respond within that timeframe, the advertising is deemed acceptable.

This requirement allows Buildingstars to maintain control over its brand image and ensure that all advertising aligns with its standards. It is a fairly standard practice in franchising to ensure brand consistency and protect the reputation of the franchise system.

Buildingstars franchisees must also ensure they use the appropriate copyright, trademark, and service mark registration symbols for registered marks and obtain Buildingstars' consent before using the marks in advertising or promotion. This protects Buildingstars' intellectual property and ensures franchisees do not misuse the brand's assets. Franchisees should be aware of these requirements and factor in the time needed for approval when planning advertising campaigns.
