What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, either the franchisee or their principal owner must participate personally in the direct operation of the business on a full-time basis. This requirement is part of the standards of operation outlined in the franchise agreement.
This stipulation means that a Buildingstars franchisee cannot be a completely passive investor. Either the franchisee themselves or a designated principal owner must be actively involved in managing and running the day-to-day operations of the cleaning business. This ensures that someone with a vested interest and knowledge of Buildingstars's standards is overseeing the business.
For prospective franchisees, this requirement has significant implications. It means dedicating substantial time and effort to the business, especially in the initial stages. It also means that if the franchisee chooses to designate a principal owner, that person must be fully trained and committed to upholding Buildingstars's operational standards. This full-time involvement helps maintain quality control and customer satisfaction, which are crucial for the success and reputation of the Buildingstars franchise.
