What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Buildingstars Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is prohibited from engaging in any business or activity that would conflict with their obligations under the franchise agreement. This means a Buildingstars franchisee must dedicate their efforts to promoting and enhancing the Buildingstars business.

This restriction ensures that the franchisee's focus remains on the Buildingstars franchise and prevents them from diverting resources or attention to other ventures that could potentially harm the Buildingstars brand or customer relationships. It also helps maintain the integrity and standards of the Buildingstars system.

However, the FDD also states that nothing restricts a Buildingstars franchisee from providing janitorial/cleaning services to any entity or person that is not a Buildingstars customer. This allowance provides some flexibility for franchisees to pursue additional business opportunities outside of the Buildingstars customer base, as long as it doesn't interfere with their obligations to Buildingstars.
