What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Buildingstars Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must file an assumed or fictitious name filing where required by applicable law. The franchisee must always use the abbreviation "d/b/a" (doing business as) after the franchisee's legal name.

This requirement ensures that the Buildingstars brand is properly represented and that the public is aware that the business is operating as a Buildingstars franchise. It also helps Buildingstars maintain consistency and control over its brand identity.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they need to be aware of the legal requirements in their specific location regarding assumed or fictitious name filings. They will need to ensure they comply with these requirements and always use "d/b/a" followed by their legal name when conducting business as a Buildingstars franchisee.
