What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from taking any actions that could disrupt the relationship between Buildingstars and its customers. The agreement states that franchisees cannot circumvent, take away, interfere with, or jeopardize the business relationship between Buildingstars and its customers. Franchisees acknowledge that any interference with customer business or the relationship between Buildingstars and customers directly violates this provision.
This restriction is in place to protect Buildingstars's business interests and maintain consistent service standards across all franchise locations. However, the agreement also clarifies that franchisees are not restricted from providing janitorial/cleaning services to entities or persons who are not Buildingstars customers. This allows franchisees to pursue business opportunities outside of the Buildingstars customer base, provided it doesn't conflict with their obligations under the franchise agreement.
Buildingstars also retains the right to discontinue a franchisee's service to a customer account if they determine the franchisee is not adequately servicing the customer. Factors considered include customer complaints, unresponsiveness, allegations of theft or breakage, and failure to complete jobs professionally. This ensures Buildingstars maintains quality control and customer satisfaction. Franchisees should be aware that Buildingstars may conduct periodic quality control and customer relations visits to customer account locations.
