What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while Buildingstars does not charge for the initial training program for the principal owner and one employee, franchisees are responsible for covering the wages, travel, and living expenses for themselves and their employees during the training period. This means that franchisees must budget for transportation costs to one of Buildingstars' corporate training locations, accommodation expenses, meals, and the salaries or hourly wages of themselves and any employees attending the training.
The initial training program's duration varies depending on the program selected. The Technician Program is approximately 4 hours, the On-Site Manager Program is approximately 13 hours, and the Corporate Program is approximately 21 hours. These timeframes should be considered when estimating wage and living expenses during training.
Prospective Buildingstars franchisees should carefully estimate these costs, considering the training location and duration, to accurately assess the initial investment required to start the franchise. It is also important to note that Buildingstars may, from time to time, require previously trained franchisees or their employees to attend Refresher Training Programs, for which the franchisee would also be responsible for travel, living expenses, and wages.
