I. DEFINITIONS
For purposes of this Agreement, the following terms shall have the meaning as set forth below and the definitions constitute an integral part of this Agreement:
- A. "Affiliate" means any and all entities that are or may control, be controlled by, or under common ownership with BUILDINGSTARS including but not limited to Buildingstars, Inc. f/k/a Advantage Building Services, Inc.), Buildingstars Operations, Inc. (f/k/a Buildingstars STL Operations, Inc.), Buildingstars International, Inc., Green Sky Franchise Group, Inc., Facility Brands, Inc. and Green Sky Southwest, Inc.
- B. "Business" means the cleaning business that FRANCHISEE will operate under this Agreement using the System and Marks.

This means a franchisee's operations must adhere to the standards, procedures, and specifications outlined in Buildingstars' Confidential Operations Manual.
The franchisee is required to use equipment, products, and supplies that meet Buildingstars' standards. They must also prominently display Buildingstars' marks and avoid any actions that could negatively impact the brand's public image. The franchisee cannot display any unauthorized business names or services at their business location.
Furthermore, franchisees must maintain minimum inventory levels as directed by Buildingstars and conduct all business dealings with honesty, integrity, and ethical conduct. They are expected to promote and enhance the business and cannot engage in any conflicting activities. The franchisee or a principal owner must also participate personally in the direct operation of the business on a full-time basis, ensuring that employees treat customers fairly and provide services ethically and without discrimination.
