What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is considered to have begun operations once they meet five specific conditions. These conditions ensure that the franchisee is properly trained, licensed, insured, equipped, and compliant with the franchise agreement before commencing business. Meeting these conditions is crucial for maintaining the Buildingstars brand standards and ensuring a consistent customer experience.

First, at least one of the Principal Owners of the Buildingstars franchise must successfully complete the Initial Training Program. This ensures that the franchisee has the necessary knowledge and skills to operate the business according to Buildingstars's standards. Second, the franchisee must obtain all necessary licenses and permits required to legally operate the business. This includes compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Third, the franchisee must provide proof of insurance coverage as required by Buildingstars. This protects both the franchisee and Buildingstars from potential liabilities. Fourth, the franchisee must have all necessary and required materials and supplies for the proper operation of the business. This ensures that the franchisee can deliver the services according to Buildingstars's standards. Finally, the franchisee must be in full compliance with the Franchise Agreement, indicating adherence to all terms and conditions outlined in the agreement.

Buildingstars requires the franchisee to begin operations within forty-five (45) days after completing the Initial Training Program. Failing to meet these conditions and begin operations within the specified timeframe could result in a breach of the Franchise Agreement. Prospective franchisees should carefully review these requirements and ensure they can meet them before investing in a Buildingstars franchise.
