What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Buildingstars has the option to make insurance coverage available to franchisees from time to time. If a franchisee is eligible and wishes to participate in this insurance coverage, they will be required to pay an Insurance Program Fee. The FDD mentions that certain types of insurance are covered by this Insurance Program Fee.

Buildingstars withholds the Insurance Program Fee from the amount of billings Buildingstars collects for the franchisee. The Insurance Program Fee is not refundable. Buildingstars makes this program available to qualified franchisees and may discontinue the Insurance Program at any time. The franchisee also reserves the right to terminate their right to remain in the Insurance Program at any time upon prior written notice to Buildingstars.

The insurance provided under the Insurance Program Fee is the minimum insurance requirement, and Buildingstars franchisees should consult with their own insurance agent to determine if the kinds and amounts of coverage are adequate to protect the franchisee's interests. Buildingstars makes no representation that the policies and amounts covered by the Insurance Program Fee are sufficient for the franchisee's needs.

It is important to note that Buildingstars is making this insurance program available to franchisees subject to certain conditions imposed by its insurance company. If a Buildingstars franchisee fails to comply with the insurance program requirements, the franchisee and anyone performing such services may not be insured, and the franchisee may be personally liable for any claims made by such persons. The franchisee agrees to indemnify and hold Buildingstars harmless from any claims that arise due to the franchisee's failure to comply with the insurance program requirements.
