What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Technician Program franchisee pays no Account Sales Fee. The Account Sales Fee is only applicable when a franchisee requests or is offered a new customer account to service.
For the On-Site Manager Program, the Account Sales Fee is 200% of the Monthly Contract Revenue, while for the Corporate Program, it is 400% of the Monthly Contract Revenue. If a Buildingstars franchisee in either of these programs requests a new customer account, they must do so in increments of $1,000 of Monthly Contract Revenue.
Payment for the Account Sales Fee can be made either in full in cash or through a Promissory Note, with the first payment due after the first full month of service to the new customer. The Promissory Note is payable in 20 equal monthly installments. This provides some flexibility for franchisees to manage their initial investment and cash flow when taking on new accounts.
