What standards does Buff City Soap provide for the layout and design of the Franchised Business?

We will provide you with our standards for finishes, specifications for layout of the interior, mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, décor and ironwork and signs for a prototype Franchised Business that we make available to franchisees. (Franchise Agreement Section 5(e)). We provide the specifications and a list of vendors. We provide assistance with acquiring an identifying what you need to order. You are responsible for ordering equipment, signs, fixtures, opening inventory and supplies. You will pay the vendors directly. We do not deliver or install any items.
We will review your site plan and final plans and specifications for conformity to System Standards. (Franchise Agreement Section 5(e))

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buff City Soap's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Buff City Soap will provide franchisees with their standards for finishes, specifications for the interior layout, mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, décor, ironwork, and signs for a prototype Franchised Business. These standards are made available to franchisees. Buff City Soap also provides the specifications and a list of vendors to assist the franchisee in identifying what they need to order.
However, the franchisee is responsible for ordering the equipment, signs, fixtures, opening inventory, and supplies directly from the vendors, and for paying those vendors. Buff City Soap does not handle the delivery or installation of these items.
Buff City Soap also retains the right to review the franchisee's site plan and final plans and specifications to ensure they conform to the Buff City Soap System Standards. This allows Buff City Soap to maintain uniformity across all franchise locations, protecting brand consistency. The franchisee is responsible for ensuring the location adheres to these standards.
