What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buff City Soap's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Issuer Expenses related to the Gift Card Program are estimated for each measurement period, which must occur at least quarterly. The Issuer, or its agent, is responsible for making these estimates, and they are allowed to use any reasonable method to do so.
These Issuer Expenses are then used to calculate the service fees for the Gift Card Program. Specifically, the service fees are determined by multiplying the Issuer Expenses by 105%. This fee is payable within 20 days after the invoice date.
This means that as a Buff City Soap franchisee, you will receive an estimate of these expenses at least four times per year, allowing you to anticipate and manage the costs associated with the Gift Card Program. It is important to note that the franchisor retains the flexibility to adjust the estimation method, provided it remains reasonable.
