What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buff City Soap's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Buff City Soap will either accept or reject a proposed site for a franchise location within 30 days of receiving all required initial and supplemental information from the franchisee. If Buff City Soap fails to respond within this 30-day period, the proposed site is automatically considered rejected.
This 30-day review period is a standard practice in the franchise industry, allowing franchisors adequate time to assess a location's suitability based on their established criteria. Buff City Soap evaluates sites based on factors like demographic characteristics, traffic patterns, parking, neighborhood character, competition, proximity to other businesses and studios, and the site's physical attributes. These criteria are typical for retail franchises, as they directly impact the potential customer base and operational efficiency of the location.
It is important for prospective Buff City Soap franchisees to understand that the site selection is ultimately their responsibility. They must propose a site that meets Buff City Soap's criteria and submit all necessary information for review. Additionally, franchisees must propose a site within 60 days of the Franchise Agreement's effective date and secure the right to occupy the approved site within 30 days of approval. Failure to meet these deadlines could result in the termination of the Franchise Agreement.
