What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buff City Soap's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Training Liability Waiver defines 'Released Parties' as encompassing a broad range of entities and individuals associated with the company. This includes Buff City Soap itself, along with its parent, sister, affiliated, and subsidiary corporations and related entities.

Specifically, the definition extends to the respective members, owners, officers, directors, partners, employees, consultants, contractors, advisors, agents, insurers, attorneys, representatives, and volunteers of these aforementioned entities. This comprehensive list indicates that the waiver is designed to protect a wide array of individuals and organizations connected to Buff City Soap from potential liabilities arising from a franchisee's participation in training activities.

For a prospective Buff City Soap franchisee, this means they are agreeing to release all these parties from any claims of injury, demands, causes of action, damages, liabilities, or loss connected with the training activities. This waiver covers anything that may arise from participating in or being present at any company-sponsored event, program, or property. It is crucial for franchisees to fully understand the implications of this waiver, as it significantly limits their ability to pursue legal action against Buff City Soap and its affiliates in the event of any harm or loss related to training.
