What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Buff City Soap Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must be in full compliance with the franchise agreement and any other agreements with Buff City Soap or its affiliates to maintain their protected area. Specifically, the franchisor states that the protected area is 'subject to Franchisee's full compliance with this Agreement and any other agreement between Franchisee or any of its Affiliates and Franchisor or any of its Affiliates'.
This means that if a Buff City Soap franchisee is not in compliance with the franchise agreement, for example, by failing to meet sales quotas or not adhering to brand standards, their protected area could be affected. The franchisor could potentially allow another Buff City Soap location to open within the franchisee's designated protected area if they are not meeting the agreement terms.
For a prospective franchisee, this underscores the importance of understanding and adhering to all terms of the franchise agreement and any related agreements. Failure to do so not only risks the potential loss of exclusivity within their protected area but could also lead to other penalties or even termination of the franchise agreement.
