What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Buff City Soap FDD, definitions of terms used in the franchise agreement can be found in Section 1 of the agreement. Specifically, Item 23 indicates that certain initially capitalized terms used frequently throughout the agreement are defined in this section. However, it also notes that other terms may be defined elsewhere in the agreement, within the context they are used.

This means that as a prospective Buff City Soap franchisee, you should first consult Section 1 for common terms. If a term isn't defined there, you'll need to look for its definition within the specific clause or section where it appears. This requires careful reading of the entire franchise agreement to fully understand your rights and obligations.

For example, terms like "ADA," "Affiliate," and "Agreement" are explicitly listed as being defined in Section 1. In contrast, more specific terms related to development rights might be explained within the sections outlining those rights. Therefore, understanding the Buff City Soap franchise agreement requires close attention to both the dedicated definitions section and the contextual definitions provided throughout the document.
