What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buff City Soap's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as of the issuance date of the document, Buff City Soap does not have any purchasing or distribution cooperatives in place. However, Buff City Soap retains the right to mandate participation in a national or regional approved purchasing cooperative in the future, should one be established for the franchisee's operating area.
Buff City Soap may negotiate purchase arrangements or discounts for franchisees, and certain suppliers may allow franchisees to participate in volume discounts, though these discounts extend only to pricing terms and not credit terms. Buff City Soap does not guarantee pricing, credit, or other terms for franchisees. The availability of supplier arrangements may vary depending on whether the supplier services the area in which the franchised business is located.
Franchisees are required to purchase equipment, furnishings, fixtures, supplies, packaging, computer hardware and software, and signage from approved vendors meeting Buff City Soap's specifications. BCS Supply is the sole approved supplier for certain oils, micas, lye, scents, packaging, facial products, colorings, charcoals, clays, exfoliants and additives. Required purchases represent approximately 90-100% of total opening expenses (excluding real estate and improvements) and about 95% of continuing required purchases and leases.
