What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buff City Soap's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Brand Fund Contribution is 2% of Net Sales. This contribution is a continuing monthly fee that franchisees must pay to Buff City Soap for the promotion of the Brand.
Buff City Soap uses this fund for marketing, advertising, and related programs, including digital, print, internet, and social media, as well as national, regional, and local advertising. The franchisor has the right to increase the Brand Fund Contribution with 60 days' notice, but it will not exceed 4% of net sales.
In addition to the Brand Fund Contribution, franchisees are also required to make a Local Marketing Expenditure. The combined total of the Brand Fund Contribution and Local Marketing Expenditure will not exceed 4% of Net Sales during the initial term of the agreement. Buff City Soap determines how the 4% is allocated between the Brand Fund Contribution and Local Marketing Expenditure.
