What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buff City Soap's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the General Manager of a Buff City Soap Makery must execute a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement. This agreement is attached to the Franchise Agreement as Exhibit C.
This requirement ensures that the General Manager is legally bound to protect Buff City Soap's sensitive business information. This includes trade secrets, customer data, and operational methods. The agreement aims to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of confidential information that could harm Buff City Soap's competitive advantage.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review Exhibit C to understand the full scope of the confidentiality and non-disclosure obligations. They should also ensure that any General Manager they hire is willing to sign and abide by this agreement. Failure to comply with this requirement is considered an Event of Default under the Franchise Agreement, which could lead to penalties or termination of the franchise.
