How does the Wizard System process travel source referred rentals for Budget licensees?

Budget Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

    1. Output by Budget (standard). The Wizard System will automatically retrieve and process travel source referred rentals for those licensees on Wizard.
    1. Direct Reservations. Licensee should advise a travel source to re-direct any rentals made directly to the location through the centralized reservation system to ensure that the rental is properly recorded and the rates are charged accurately. Should this not occur, licensee must ensure at all times that any travel source reservations received directly from travel sources are reported by Licensee through BCCS in accordance with the same procedures as published for those travel source reservations transmitted to Licensee's properties through the Reservation System.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Wizard System automatically retrieves and processes travel source referred rentals for licensees who are on the Wizard system. If a travel source makes a direct reservation to a Budget location, the licensee should advise the travel source to redirect the rental through the centralized reservation system. This ensures the rental is properly recorded and the rates are charged accurately.

If redirection does not occur, the Budget licensee must report travel source reservations received directly through BCCS (Budget Centralized Commission Services Program). These direct reservations must be reported following the same procedures as those transmitted through the Reservation System.

Budget also provides the Budget Centralized Commission Services Program (BCCS) operated on behalf of Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC. This program is designed to pay travel sources worldwide commissions for both local and one-way car rentals via one central payment method. All reservations generated by travel sources must be reconciled through BCCS, whether made directly with the travel source or received from Budget's Worldwide Reservation Center. The reservations must be reported to BCCS in accordance with the Instruction Package provisions as commissionable or specific non-commissionable categories.
