What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a one-time Wizard Connection Start Fee of $320 is payable for each workstation connected to the Wizard System, including Thin Client Terminals. This fee covers the WebWiz client software and telephone support to set up the connection to the Data Center.
The Wizard system is Budget's computerized rental system that franchisees must use. It generates and stores reservation, rental, and customer data, to which Budget has unlimited access. Franchisees must also enter into a Rental System Agreement with ABCR that governs the use of Wizard.
In addition to the one-time Wizard Connection Start Fee, there is also a monthly fee per workstation connected to the Wizard System via the Internet, which is $18. This monthly fee covers the file server and backup server, the software required to operate servers, software maintenance, and support by Data Center personnel for server equipment. Each workstation will have a maximum of four sessions (two display sessions and two printer sessions).
