What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Inter-City Program is applicable to Budget licensees. The FDD indicates that licensees must participate in and comply with the terms of the Inter-City Program, which governs the use and movement of corporate and licensee vehicles. This program ensures cooperation among licensees to provide quality customer service and efficient handling of business throughout the Budget system.
Budget licensees are required to assist in the repair and return of disabled vehicles belonging to other licensees within the system and handle inter-city vehicle drops according to Budget's policies. This requirement highlights the interconnected nature of the Budget franchise network, where franchisees must support each other to maintain consistent service standards.
The FDD also includes a table that lists the Inter-City Program with a checkmark, confirming its applicability to Budget licensees. This inclusion reinforces the mandatory nature of the program and its importance in the overall operation of a Budget franchise. Prospective franchisees should be aware of these obligations and factor them into their business planning and operational considerations.
