What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Joint Resolution Program Payment is charged when Budget's Customer Relations Department resolves disputes between a Budget franchisee and their customer. This payment covers amounts Budget pays to the customer to resolve the complaint.

The Joint Resolution Program Payment can be up to $150 per resolution if Budget resolves the complaint without the franchisee's prior approval. For adjustments exceeding $150, Budget is required to contact the franchisee for approval before issuing the payment.

The payment is due 45 days from the date of the Licensee Settlement Statement, also referred to as the Composite Statement. This statement reflects the amounts Budget paid during the prior month to resolve customer complaints involving the franchisee's Budget location. Franchisees should carefully review their Licensee Settlement Statements to monitor these charges and ensure they agree with the resolutions made on their behalf.
