What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Budget requires either the HP 5730 or later Thin Client or the HP t620 WES8 QuadCore 8GB 64GB – PS2 setup DP2DVI cable. These Thin Client models are purchased via ABCR (Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC).

The use of the HP Thin Client is not specifically limited to ABCR, but the document states that during the term of the agreement, a licensee may only use equipment which is on ABCR's list of approved equipment. Schedule 1 to the Wizard System Network Access Addendum contains a listing of approved Equipment for Internet connectivity, and Schedule D contains the currently approved Equipment for MPLS and Aruba/DSL Connectivity.

Prospective Budget franchisees should note that the costs associated with the HP Thin Client, including hardware, support, and recurring charges, are subject to change based on location, equipment availability, and vendor contracts. A Site Survey will determine the specific hardware needed based upon the number of Thin Client Terminals required and the anticipated usage. Licensees are also responsible for maintaining and operating the equipment in accordance with System standards and published vendor communication specifications approved by ABCR.
