What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Budget manual has a numeric coding index system. Pages are filed in the manual binder from the lowest subject section numeric code to the highest. The manual also includes an alphabetical subject index where each subject is assigned a numeric code. To locate a procedure, franchisees should look in the subject index and then turn to the chapter and section indicated.

Revisions to the manual are issued to announce procedure changes and transmit new and revised pages. Each revision is assigned a number indicating the last two digits of the year and a yearly sequence number. Upon receiving a revision, franchisees must read it, noting the effect on current operations. If required, they should remove obsolete pages and replace them with the updated pages. The revision cover sheet should be filed behind the revision tab sheet, following Chapter 20. Franchisees are also instructed to notify Office Services, World Headquarters, of any missing revisions as soon as possible.

Budget grants licensees access to a manual, which includes policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and requirements related to the rental business. The manual is confidential and remains Budget's exclusive property, not to be duplicated, shared, or redistributed. In case of disputes, the master copies maintained by Budget at its principal office will be controlling.
