What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the General Manager designated by the Licensee at the date of the execution of the License Agreement is set forth in the Summary Pages, specifically in Section 5. This section of the FDD provides key information about the General Manager who will be responsible for the management, operation, and development of the Rental Business.
Budget requires that the Licensee employ at least one full-time General Manager who has completed Budget's instruction program to their satisfaction. This General Manager must devote their entire time during normal business hours to the Rental Business. The Licensee is also obligated to notify Budget of any proposed changes to the General Manager position, ensuring that any replacement also completes Budget's prescribed training.
For a prospective Budget franchisee, this means that identifying and maintaining a qualified General Manager is crucial. The initial General Manager must be named in the Summary Pages (Section 5) at the time the agreement is executed. Any subsequent changes require notification to Budget and completion of their training program by the replacement. This ensures that all General Managers meet Budget's standards for operating and developing the Rental Business.
