What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the licensee is responsible for covering travel and living expenses for the General Manager and any other employees approved by Budget to attend the pre-opening instruction. This instruction is a comprehensive training program required for the operation of the Rental Business.
This means that as a prospective Budget franchisee, you will need to budget for these costs when planning for the opening of your rental business. The expenses include transportation (flights, train tickets, car rentals), accommodation, meals, and any other incidental costs incurred during the training period. The number of employees Budget requires to attend the training will directly impact the overall cost.
It is important to note that these expenses are in addition to any franchise fees or other initial investment costs. Franchisees should clarify with Budget the expected duration and location of the training to accurately estimate the associated travel and living expenses. This will help in developing a realistic financial plan for launching the franchise.
