What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial and ongoing training obligations for franchisees are detailed in Article IV of the Budget License Agreement and Article VI of the Rental System Agreement.
Budget provides a comprehensive training program, additional courses, resources, webinars, and training materials to assist in the training of the General Manager and employees in the operation of the Rental Business. Budget retains the right to require franchisees to attend training as deemed necessary, and franchisees must complete any initial training. This training may require the attendance and participation of the franchisee, its principals, its General Manager, managerial personnel, or other staff, with the franchisee bearing all associated expenses, including travel, lodging, meals, and entertainment.
Budget also furnishes operating training and assistance through regular notices and announcements concerning system developments. Franchisees are expected to cooperate with Budget and promptly correct any deficiencies identified during training. Failure to correct deficiencies may result in Budget correcting them at the franchisee's expense. Budget also provides web-based training and seminars, manuals, on-the-job instruction, and other programs and materials appropriate for the franchisee, their General Manager, and other approved employees. Franchisees and their approved employees must actively participate in and timely complete all web-based sessions to Budget's satisfaction.
