What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Budget's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Budget Rent A Car System, Inc. and the Prospective Licensee are parties to a Confidentiality Agreement. This agreement is dated and signed concurrently with the Rider.
The Confidentiality Agreement allows the Prospective Licensee to evaluate the purchase of a license from Budget under the terms and conditions of Budget's License Agreement. In connection with this evaluation, the Prospective Licensee can review Budget's Standard Operating Manual, which contains confidential information and trade secrets.
Budget permits inspection of its Operating Manual before the execution of a License Agreement only under the terms and conditions of this Confidentiality Agreement. The Prospective Licensee agrees to use the information in the Operating Manual solely to evaluate whether to enter into a License Agreement with Budget and for no other purpose. The Prospective Licensee must not disclose the Confidential Information to any person or entity other than Permitted Parties. Upon completion of the evaluation process, the Prospective Licensee must return to Budget all copies of the Operating Manual.
