Under what conditions will Brueggers Bagels charge an additional training fee?

Brueggers_Bagels Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

This fee will be charged if, after we train you and your original Store Manager, you are unable to train replacement Store Managers and other Bakery personnel on your own and you ask that we conduct that training at an approved local training bakery, the location of your Bakery, or if you ask that we provide additional onsite assistance to you.

If that occurs, we will retrain you and train your new Store Manager (or other Bakery personnel) at your Bakery and/or provide the requested onsite assistance, and you will have to pay us the fee indicated.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Brueggers Bagels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, additional training fees may be charged under specific circumstances. If, after the initial training of the franchisee and their original store manager, the franchisee is unable to train replacement store managers or other bakery personnel independently, Brueggers Bagels may step in to conduct the training. This training can occur at an approved local training bakery or at the franchisee's own bakery location.

In such cases, Brueggers Bagels will retrain the franchisee and train the new store manager or other bakery personnel, or provide on-site assistance as requested. The franchisee will then be responsible for paying the specified additional training fee.

The 2025 FDD also specifies the fees for additional and replacement certified manager personnel training. The fee is $1,600 under the Franchise Agreement and $850 under the License Agreement for each additional individual to be trained. This fee is due before the training begins. Brueggers Bagels will provide training for two certified managers, but if the franchisee wants to send additional individuals to the certified manager initial training program, they will be charged $850 for Licensed Bakeries and $1,600 for Franchised Bakeries for each additional individual.
