What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Brueggers Bagels FDD, Section 22 of the Development Agreement is deleted in certain states. Specifically, the Maryland Addendum to the Development Agreement states that Section 22 is deleted. Similarly, the Washington Addendum to the Development Agreement indicates that Section 22 of the Development Agreement is deleted.

For prospective Brueggers Bagels franchisees in Maryland and Washington, this deletion means that any provisions related to acknowledgments typically found in Section 22 of the standard Development Agreement will not apply. This could relate to franchisee acknowledgments regarding receipt and understanding of the FDD or other disclosures. The specific implications would depend on the original content of Section 22, which is not detailed in the provided excerpts.

For franchisees outside of Maryland and Washington, it is not clear whether Section 22 is deleted. Franchisees should review the specific addendum for their state (if any) and consult with Brueggers Bagels to understand whether Section 22 of the Development Agreement applies to them.
