Brueggers_Bagels Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
In some cases, we may offer a License Agreement for the operation of a Bruegger's outlet in a Non-Traditional Facility. "Non-Traditional Facility" means a facility where the primary function is not a restaurant business, such as (but not limited to) a performing arts center, arena, stadium, shopping mall, department store, retail store, wholesale club, grocery store, supermarket, casino, amusement park, fairground, college or university, factory, hospital, penal institution, military base, airport, turnpike, limited access highway rest stop, or other transportation facility. Our current form of License Agreement for Non-Traditional Facilities appears in Exhibit C to this disclosure document. We refer to outlets operating under a License Agreement as a "Licensed Bakery."

According to Brueggers Bagels's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, outlets operating under a License Agreement are referred to as "Licensed Bakery". These are typically found in non-traditional locations.
Brueggers Bagels may offer a License Agreement for operation in a Non-Traditional Facility, which is defined as a location where the primary function is not a restaurant business. Examples of Non-Traditional Facilities include performing arts centers, arenas, stadiums, shopping malls, department stores, retail stores, wholesale clubs, grocery stores, supermarkets, casinos, amusement parks, fairgrounds, colleges or universities, factories, hospitals, penal institutions, military bases, airports, turnpikes, limited access highway rest stops, or other transportation facilities.
Licensed Bakeries, while similar in concept to traditional Brueggers Bagels bakeries, often operate in smaller locations and sometimes in multi-brand environments. The needs of the host institution can significantly impact the operation of the unit. Unless otherwise specified, references to Bakeries in the disclosure document include Licensed Bakeries, and references to "Franchise Agreement" refer to both the Franchise Agreement and the License Agreement.
