What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brueggers Bagels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Brueggers Bagels will cover the costs of instruction and required materials for the initial training of up to two individuals. This typically includes the franchisee or operating partner and one additional manager.
However, the franchisee is responsible for all other expenses associated with attending the training. These expenses include transportation, lodging, meals, wages, benefits, and worker's compensation insurance for the trainees. If the franchisee requests initial training for more than two individuals, they will be required to pay Brueggers Bagels' current charge for each additional person. This charge is specified in the manuals and also discussed in Item 6 of the FDD.
Additionally, if a franchisee requests on-site training, and Brueggers Bagels is able to provide it, the franchisee must pay $350 per person per day, along with Brueggers Bagels' then-current per diem charges and any out-of-pocket expenses. The per diem charges are detailed in the manuals, with the current amount described in Item 6. Franchisees are also responsible for the costs of printing and laminating any additional training materials provided electronically, which may be issued when new products or menus are launched.
