Before the opening of your Bakery, we will provide to you and to your Store Manager (defined below), the initial training programs that we designate for new System franchisees (the "Initial Training Program"). We will also provide the ongoing training that we periodically deem appropriate, at such places and times that we deem proper. Our training programs will be conducted in the English language. What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Brueggers Bagels requires that franchisees and their store managers complete the Initial Training Program. The FDD states that Brueggers Bagels will provide the initial training programs that they designate for new System franchisees. However, the document does not specify the maximum duration of the initial training program.
While the FDD outlines the requirement for initial and ongoing training, it does not provide details on the length, location, or specific content of the training programs. The training programs will be conducted in English, and Brueggers Bagels covers the cost of instruction and materials, with some exceptions. Franchisees may send up to two individuals to the initial training program, but additional attendees incur a fee of $1,600 per person.
Prospective franchisees should inquire with Brueggers Bagels about the typical length of the Initial Training Program, the topics covered, and the schedule to fully understand the time commitment involved. Understanding the training duration will help franchisees plan for their bakery's opening and ensure they are adequately prepared to manage their business according to Brueggers Bagels' standards.
