What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Brueggers Bagels Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee must operate a Bruegger's Bakery at the approved premises. The FDD states that the franchisee wishes to obtain the right to establish and operate a Bruegger's Bakery at the Premises. This indicates that the primary and intended use of the location is specifically for running a Brueggers Bagels restaurant.

Brueggers Bagels emphasizes the importance of maintaining uniformly high standards of quality and service. Franchisees are expected to operate their bakeries in strict accordance with the franchisor's quality control standards and specifications. This requirement ensures that each Brueggers Bagels location adheres to the brand's established operational model, contributing to a consistent customer experience across all franchises.

The franchise agreement defines a "Bakery" as a bakery restaurant operated by Brueggers Bagels, its affiliates, or authorized franchisees, utilizing the Brueggers Bagels system and proprietary marks. This definition reinforces that the approved premises must be used as a standard Brueggers Bagels restaurant, following the established system and branding. This also includes the use of the location for a "Co-Branded Location" meaning a facility at which a BRUEGGER'S-branded outlet and an outlet of another brand operate in conjunction with each other.
