Under the Franchise Agreement Brown grants you the right to operate a BROWN'S Store at a specific location. You will receive an exclusive territory (the "Territory") that will consist of the geographic area that is within a 5-mile radius (as the crow flies) of your Store, unless you are
located in a shopping mall food court in which event you will not receive an exclusive territory. The site of your Store will be inserted in the Franchise Agreement before you sign it, unless the site is not determined when you sign the Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Browns Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the specific location of the store will generally be included in the Franchise Agreement before you sign it. Browns Chicken grants you the right to operate a Browns Chicken store at a specific location. The location will be inserted in the Franchise Agreement before signing, unless the site is not determined when you sign the Franchise Agreement.
Browns Chicken must approve the location. Before entering into a Franchise Agreement, you and Browns Chicken must agree on a suitable location for the Browns Chicken store. Browns Chicken will not enter into a Franchise Agreement with you until a suitable location has been agreed upon. Browns Chicken considers factors such as the nature of and proximity to competing stores, traffic patterns, and amount of rent and/or cost of site. You are expected to conduct your own investigation respecting the potential site, including the demographics of the area.
The Franchise Agreement specifies that you may only operate the Browns Chicken store at the location identified in the agreement or at a substitute location approved by Browns Chicken. You acknowledge that you have independently evaluated the location of the store prior to the execution of the Franchise Agreement, including the demographic characteristics of the area in which the store is located. Franchisee's execution of a lease for a site for the Store shall constitute acceptance by Franchisee of such site and location and of the terms of such lease, sublease or purchase.
