What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Browns Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, Browns Chicken franchisees must adhere to mandatory specifications, standards, and operating procedures outlined in the Operating Manual, which includes the use and retention of standard forms. These specifications, standards, operating procedures, and rules designated as "mandatory" by Browns Chicken in the Operating Manual or otherwise communicated to the franchisee in writing are considered provisions of the Franchise Agreement.
The Browns Chicken Operating Manual contains mandatory and suggested specifications, standards, and operating procedures prescribed by Browns Chicken for Browns Chicken stores. Browns Chicken may reasonably modify the Operating Manual to reflect changes in authorized products and services, specifications, standards, and operating procedures. Franchisees must keep their copy of the Operating Manual current, with the master copies maintained by Browns Chicken at its principal office serving as the controlling reference in case of a dispute.
In essence, Browns Chicken franchisees are obligated to use and retain standard forms as part of their business operations, as mandated by the Operating Manual and the Franchise Agreement. This ensures uniformity and compliance with Browns Chicken's established systems and procedures.
