What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Browns Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all notices from the sublessor to the sublessee should be sent via registered or certified mail to the sublessee at the premises. However, the sublessee can furnish another address in writing for this purpose, and the sublessor would then use that address.

Conversely, all notices from the sublessee to the sublessor must be sent via registered or certified mail to Browns Chicken, LLC at 55 East Park Boulevard, Villa Park, Illinois 60181. The sublessor can also furnish another address in writing for this purpose, which the sublessee would then be required to use.

This clause ensures that both parties have a reliable method for sending and receiving important communications related to the sublease agreement. The registered or certified mail requirement provides proof of delivery, which can be crucial in resolving disputes or demonstrating compliance with contractual obligations. Franchisees should keep a record of all notices sent and received, along with any address changes provided by either party.
