What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Browns Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain a minimum staff of trained employees to properly operate the store. Specifically, Browns Chicken requires franchisees to have at least two full-time managers and one part-time manager on staff at all times during the franchise term.

This requirement ensures that the Browns Chicken store has adequate supervision and management coverage. Having multiple managers allows for continuous oversight of operations, employee training, and customer service. The presence of both full-time and part-time managers provides flexibility in scheduling and ensures that the store is always under the supervision of a qualified individual.

For a prospective Browns Chicken franchisee, this staffing requirement translates into a significant ongoing cost. The franchisee will need to budget for the salaries and benefits of at least three managers. It also means the franchisee will need to dedicate time and resources to recruiting, hiring, and training these managers to meet Browns Chicken's standards. Failure to maintain this minimum staffing level could be a breach of the franchise agreement.
